To some of you --

Not all brass needs fussing to run properly. I have learned from sometimes
rueful experience that there is one "S" importer whose stuff ALWAYS runs
perfectly right out of the box -- River Raisin. I have two of their locos, two
cabooses, one express reefer, two troop sleepers, a boxcar, and a hopper car.

One of you has stated that the only B&O wagontop boxcar was a Lehigh Valley
Models kit. There was also a brass wagontop boxcar by Overland, circa 1985. I
bought mine (in 1985) for $50. There was also an article in Eric Stevens'
"Dollar Car" series in Model Railroader in the 1950s on scratch-building one of
these (in HO, but the techniques are scale-less).
