Yeah, the Flyonel USRA would make a great locomotive for S scale, but the company does not wish to be bothered with whatever challenges would ensue in changing out those "pizza-cutter wheels." Has anyone on the list managed to change them out? Some may recall from reading about it most likely that in the late Thirties when Lionel came out with its scale Hudson, scale O modelers grabbed up the locomotive and changed its wheels so that it could operate on O scale track. I recall that one scaler in the Twin Cities had an O-scale Soo Line Hudson!

It looked pretty good except for the pizza cutter wheels. I left a note saying they should sell it with scale drivers. Obvioously I have a lot of influence with Flyonel :) cheers ----- Original Message ----- From: "richgajnak" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 28, 2008 8:28 PM Subject: {S-Scale List} Re: 2-8-2 > --- In [email protected], [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >> >> 4501 is very close to a USRA light mike, not heavy, in terms of > dimensions.
