I just received an email from eBay informing me that beginning in
October I will no longer be able to accept checks or money orders for
items. I am suppose to start using, Paypal, credit cards, etc. I think
there may be a way around this little dilemia , I'll have to give it a
try.
I have a bunch of small S scale items that I was working on to sell
in the future. Maybe I better hurry up. When I was selling off my
brass diesel collection several of you paid me via check. I
appreciated that a lot. With Paypal, final value fee, insertion fee,
etc. I was paying somewhere around 15% to 20% of the total sale.
What brass diesels I have left I turned over to one of the S scale
dealers in the hobby. I figured if I had to pay 20% I'd let someone
that has full time exposure on the internet do it for me.
I do have an HO friend that has begun using Amazon. He is
thrilled with the results because the item is listed until sold. He
said they are very easy to deal with, Especially the books!
