One of the attendees at the 2008 Convention said to me later 
(jokingly?) that perhaps there would be higher auction proceeds (and 
less work) if we simply charged admission to the auction instead of a 
seller's premium....  But of course that would presume it would not 
be necessary to pay the performer or performer's guild a cut of the 
ticket sales... :-)
