I have contacted Kadee Quality Products Co. in White City, Oregon, on behalf
of ALL S enthusiasts everywhere.

In talking to them, here is what they said: We already have these style
(shelf/non-overide) couplers available in HO. It would not be a that difficult
to get them produced in S, providing we can be convinced there is a market and
...priorities can be adjusted to reflect demand based on emails, letters phone
calls etc.

So that means ALL of you could influence Kadee to produce a coupler type that
you want. Those that may personally not be interested in a shelf/non-overide
style coupler, should still write-in requesting this, as it is a numbers game,
the wheel that squeeks gets the grease, as many "old timers" know from friction
bearing days.

I can not emphasize enough how important your personal input is, to Kadee and
getting these produced.

I am providing you with a link to their site, their address, email and a phone
number to call.

Re: Request for the production of an accurate S-Scale, shelf/non-overide
coupler, Metal, prefered, with suitable draft gear box.

Dear People at Kadee Quality Products Co,

S-Scale model railroading enthusiasts around the country and world, are in dire
need of a 1:64 proportioned S-Scale shelf/non-overide style coupler. This would
be similar to your HO #118 and #119 couplers, except proportioned to 1:64"
S-Scale.

There is nothing available through any other source. We have been loyal and
enthusiastic supporters of Kadee products for four decades, We have
utilized/adapted Kadee #5's, and more recently #802's for almost all of S-scale
cars and locomotives, numbering in the 10's of thousands world wide.

S-Scale is a rapidly expanding market, featuring top quality locomotives and
rolling stock, that lead the way in model railroading. With thousands of new
cars and locomotives being produced every year. More and more modelers (some of
which are very experienced and demanding) are switching over to S-Scale from
other scales. In addition S is supported by increasing number of quality S
manufacturers and importers. We also have a strong national organization the
NASG, National Association of S Gaugers.

Please strongly consider producing a much needed item, the S-scale, 1:64
proportioned shelf/non-overide style coupler.

Most gratefully,

----------------------------your signature, name, email contact, phone # (as you
please to do)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Please consider this, I have made it very easy for you, manufactures,
importers, distributors, suppliers, hobby shops, NASG, NMRA, collectors, arm
chair modelers, and anyone that I forgot, please get a communication off to
Kadee.

I hope this will provide the impetus to get it done.

Most S gaugingly yours,
