Pretty neat, Tom!

Yes, I'm having fun, my 46 year old model railroad is a good mix, definitely
not pure scale but close enough!

I have enough trouble with my track crews busting their butts maintaining the
mainline, then a 30 some year old section of yard track went bad last week and
we had to replace that and it wasn't in the nicest of places to repair. Matter
of fact, it was in the Jefferson Yards where many moons ago I laid out a fairly
large yard and it is all on Tru Scale road bed. So, I had to cut it out, shave
it down and replace the track with a strip of code 110. Finally, all is well
again and the entire yard is operational. But I must admit, I was ready to get
help and take the entire %^$#)*& model railroad down.

That is the neat thing about model railroading, like the real ones, where will
the next trouble spot be?
What made a 30 inch straight section of track go bad? This past 10 moths I've
been rebuilding the Jefferson Central. Finally, I have it all back in shape
except for the O'Conner yard area, which I plan to take on next! The LVSG meet
is scheduled for my house in October, so the pressure is on, my work crews have
to get it ready! Ouch!

Oh you purists out there without layouts, see what your missing! Ha!

Bill Fraley
