Rich, I checked out the River Raisin website, it is good to know what the
finest steam
locomotive ever made was......
By the way, I appreciate all of the passion in the discussions here and trust
you will
consider the source and my smartass comments will be accepted with a grain of
salt.
Couplers? In a train going down the track who sees them. If they uncouple,
everyone sees
them. Wheels a few thousands too large, could be better but have you taken a
good
quality photo of your rolling stock, look how thick the side frames are. Now
that is
something to get on about. Is it like the personal computer? When you make
things so
anyone can "use" them are the compromises too great for the purist?
On the other hand while things are not perfect, Tom Lennon brought by a
business
associate who was visiting from Cincinnati. we were all busy soaking Sedum
when this
guy mentioned that he has visited a number of layouts in his home town and now
a few
here and no one is running trains. Easy enough, hit the power and within a few
minutes,
he has two mainline and one branchline train at his command. He says he has
heard
about operations.... OK friend, here is a switchlist and here is how it works.
I guess
because he is in N scale his expectations are small but Tom tells me he was
very
impressed.
Andre, I hear you brother, there is never enough time for the important things
and when
we get a little time all the unimportant things have worn us down.
I need to get working....
