Yes, on the "Schwebebahn" Monorail (1st working one) in Wuppertal Germany, I
put the Kadee couplers on up side down, as the rail was on top side of the
car...please note that the spring plate must be in same position, relative to
coupler draft gear box, or you will not get "delayed" uncoupling. The magnetic
ramp was suspended above track, but proved to be to difficult to keep in proper
alighnment because of constatly shifting winds in the Wupper river valley. The
car side mounted couplers were used for a while in transfer table movements and
to help stabilize car at stations, when a lot of drunken Germans would try to
sway the car back and forth.
