Hello all,
Now here's an unusual thought. I do still dabble in Sn3 even though
I'm working mostly in standard gauge (scale, yes :P ) and I had a
thought. Now, I KNOW you can regauge one of the On30 Bachmann Porters
to Sn3 by sliding the wheels in, adding some spacers (or lopping off
the axle bits), modding the cab, etc., but has anyone tried it with
the On30 Inside/Outside frame Forneys? I'm in the market for a small
2-4-0 or 2-4-2 tender locomotive and I'm looking for an inexpensive
donor mechanism. I realize the Forneys aren't THAT inexpensive, but I
like the looks of the models in the picture. Or does someone have one
and is it grossly oversized for an Sn3 lokie?
