Tom,
While your choice of wording is, on some level, appropriate, it might be more a
fitting to
ask if he is "pulling a Korber" on us. Mr. Korber did no market research in S.
He produced
a kit that was a virtual twin to a kit that had been on the S scale market for
years. He did
very little advertising (at least I don't recall much.) Then he had the gaul to
complain that S
scalers didn't support his efforts! If you ever had a personal dealing with
Mr. K I hope you
didn't mention S scale. If you did, I'm sure you know why I say that. He was
not very
personable, and I would go so far as to say that I'm a reasonable judge of that.
Anyone reading this please do not take it in any way as commentary on Mr.
Chapman. I
have not met him. I have not had any dealings with him. I hope he sells many
S scale kits,
and that he makes other S scale products. He has already shown more sense than
Mr.
Korber by producing something not currently available in S. It is just that
any time
someone mentions Mr. Korber I feel compelled to comment.
