I respect Don's opinion but I stay with the cold hard facts of business .
Marketing is a feel
good activity, unless it generates profit to support the ongoing business, it
is self
satisfaction. No profits, no growth, if your not growing your sinking. There
is an amount of
marketing needed to stay in the customer's mind, to avoid erosion, beyond that,
what does
marketing or any activity do to build the business?
The idea of donating money to NASG or anyone for a DVD or other piece is fine
and should
be voluntary, then you can really gauge how much support is out there for the
project. It
would be a way to separate talk from action.
