The 2008 Fall S Fest is November 14th through 16, 2008 and is hosted by the
Badgerland S Gaugers and will be held in Milwaukee at the Wyndham Airport Hotel
& Convention Center, located at 4747 S. Howell Avenue. This hotel has easy
access from both IH 94 and IH 43. In addition it is right across the street
from Milwaukee's General Mitchell field and close to the new "Airport" AMTRAK
station. There are free shuttles from the airport as well as the new Airport
AMTRAK station. Note: you must call from the Airport AMTRAK to arrange for
the shuttle. The hotel room rate is just $89, mention Fall S Fest when making a
reservation. Hurry, since this rate is only good through October 30, 2008.
Convention highlights include: Clinics such as Basic TMCC, AF Repair, Tree
making and a special Women's clinic among others. Special S-Fest "Weber Beer
Reefer" manufactured by S-Helper Service. Several Home layout tours on both
Thursday evening and Sunday. Saturday evening banquet with Mr. Dave Myers,
retired military locomotive engineer. Train races, silent auction, model
contest and a huge 14,000 square foot trading hall. Sprecher Brewery and
Iroquois boat tour. Something for everyone.
