When I was in N I bought everything that fit my time period and
things I thought I might need down the road "for the big layout".
That took up a lot of storage space. Most of those items never saw
any time on any of my layouts. The good thing is, though, that I am
selling those items on eBay to help fund my switch to S! :-)

However, my personal philosophy now is to not buy anything unless I
absolutely need to have it for what I am working on for the layout
currently. It helps keep costs down and helps me stay focused. Even
though I enjoy scratchbuilding, my wish list does include the B.T.S.
"Cabin Creek Coal Tipple" and the Grand River Models warehouse. But I
am not going to buy those things until I am ready for them on the
layout. Perhaps Barry might do what B.T.S. and other companies do...
carry multiple scales. I like what he's doing, and I'd hate to see
him leave the scale as a manufacturer.

OK... Back to laying the DCC bus feeder wires for my new layout...
