Hi All, Its official! The S Scale module Allen yard based on the Allentown PA yard has been delivered to Claude Demers today. For those of you that do not know, this is a 30" wide x 32 feet long yard with a fully functional hump and car retarder. I went to Claude's house today to help with the load out and to see it again. I have not seen this module in many years. It has not been set up and run in it's entirety since 1993. Some sections were used in the Potomac Valley S Scalers layout at the NASG convention in Baltimore
It is an absolute work of art with the attention to detail the original builder Dave Bailey put into it. If anyone knows the current whereabouts, phone number or email address for Dave Bailey, please reply to me directly. I have posted some photos in the S Mod photos section http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Mod/spnew I took today. The extra 4' section without turnouts did not get set up today because some legs were left behind. If the thought of running a working hump yard does not juice you up for S Scale modules, I don't know what else we can do! We are hoping to have this module and other new modules ready for the NMRA convention next year.
