There was a Model Railroader article many years ago (by Al Kamm if I 
recall correctly) that pegged the model as an F2d carbody with F9 
louvers. But the differences are barely noticeable. It would stand to 
reason that Enhorning started out with the F2 as that was the model 
EMD had in production at the time the contract was made. Rather than 
redo the dies they just did the side vents from chicken wire to 
louvers. I doubt if anyone but an EMD mechanical type would have 
known the difference anyway - the rivet counters hadn't been born yet!

I'll have t' dig one out and compare it to my Cyclopedia - I think 
I'll wait for a stormy night when there's nothin' better to do.
