I own one pre Titman/Collins issue of the Herald.  In that particular 
issue there was a search going on to find past/defunct manufacturers way 
back then, similar to what Tom is doing.  This issue was mimeographed, 
corner stapled and without artwork or photos on colored paper. Even as 
crude as it was it was better than the S Gaugian at the time.  I think 
Don Heimberger and I are the same age, so if my memory is correct I was 
in the 5th or 6th grade at that time.  Now that I think of it, the S 
Gaugian might be the oldest continual 'supplier' in our scale, which is 
quite an accomplishment considering all the past folks we're talking 
about--Stewart, Enhorning, Nixon, Kinsman, AF!
