Bill, and Other Interested Readers;

I can tell you why one of our N&W Class G4 52'6" War
Emergency Gondolas with NYC lettering has not darkened
anyone's door yet.

Because we don't offer one.

If you look on our website, there is no mention of NYC painted
and lettered versions of our gondola model. There never has
been. Maybe there will be in the future sometime.

I have had several requests for help with locating or supplying
NYC decals, and I would like to run (note the words "like to")
some custom decals to provide some kind of solution - if I can
finish the artwork using the limited data I have.

And by the way, we use SHS 70-Ton Diecast trucks on the
models because they look and perform great. They also trim
about $35 or more off the retail price of the model - a retail price
already far below typical new brass model prices. I don't know
how to make a brass truck that could compete on looks,
performance, and price.

Our gondola models have shipped with trucks from day one. It is
an option to not include them, and lowers the price even further.

What is in stock are the last 8 of the factory painted black,
unlettered models (4 composite and 4 steel rebuild), and very
few of several different custom colors. More information and
images can be found on the website, or email me off-list.

I'll use this occasion to ask for a little help. If I am ever to offer
NYC, ATSF or RI decals for these models, I need more top
quality images and lettering diagrams. Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

John Botten
