Hi Bob --
The two books I have that show dimensions indicate the first course behind
the smokebox is 86" and the course around the combustion chamber is 96".
It is not specified if that is over the jacketing, but I suspect not. It
also appears that all the later GS's (3-6) had the same basic boiler.
