  peter, i use grandt tie plates on my P48 layout. they are made in code
  125 and code 100 sizes. i think both would be too large OA for 1/64
  modeling, but may work for code 83 rail,in a pinch, maybe. grandt has
  re-tooled both sizes to accomidate the bulky, blobby spikes that are
  now available. the holes are now big enuf to pass thro a 16 penny box
  nail. lol. used to be that a shinohara code 70/HOn3 spikes was small
  unuf, .015" x 3/8" long, so as not to split out the corner of the code
  100 plates, but that's another instance of not available any more.

  i thought that jim king was now making stuff in S scale. he did make
  resin tie plates for O scale and may now consider making them for S
  scale uses. i would suggest contacting him directly.
