> Ed, I'm surprised that I've never seen any
of your cars--built up, in kit form or for sale
on the used market. I have a few sets of the
trucks and they are nice models even in today's
market. I would like to hear about them from one
of the owners of those 200 cars. Just curious.
Bob Werre
Bob....Y'know, I never even built one of those cars
myself. I think the AM smoothsides came out shortly
thereafter and that might have caused folks to think
twice. The kits were not great, but they were the
only passenger cars available at that time. The
customer got the basic body, two ends, two sides and
little else. Trucks were available separately. The
customer had to obtain his own roof vents, grab irons,
handrails, diaphragms, decals, etc. Graham Henry "bought"
the business from me and might have sold a few more.
Like you, I have not seen any on ebay or in any photos
anywhere. The mystery continues...... Cheers...Ed L.
