Welcome aboard Larry....You pose an interesting question pertaining
to one of the basic voids in S scale. I do not think you will find
exactly what you are looking for. I might be wrong, and if so,
someone else will correct me.

Years ago, Holgate+Reynolds had sheets of styrene with embossed S
scale bricks. Almost impossible to find these days unless you are
extremely lucky. The H+R product, being embossed, had bricks with
rounded edges which some folks found objectionable.

So what to do.... I have some recollection of printed paper sheets
with brick patterns in S. Perhaps it was something that could be
downloaded from the internet in different sizes. But it will be
flat, not textured at all -- if my memory is correct.

Another option is to look for some products labeled "HO" and measure
them and see if the bricks might be a bit oversize. This approach
has been used in the past, but I am not sure if it is the best route
to take these days.

Still another idea is to find a fellow with a laser who will cut
patterns into styrene sheets anyway you like. All it takes is a bit
of money and some waiting time and you can have styrene sheets with
any brick/stone patterns your mind can think of. Names upon request
for the fellows I have used.

Part of being an authentic S guy is taking matters like this and
applying some creativity and energy to find a good solution. Then
share it with the rest of us. Complaining is not allowed. And the
comment "S does not have very much" is a fast ticket to nowhere. In
return, we will share all our good ideas with you. Might even share
some not-so-good ideas as well. Hanging together makes S life a lot
more enjoyable.

Have fun...Ed L.
