Alco Models first made the RS-3 and later did a run of RS-2's and 
RSD 4/5's.  I guess they hosed the Pennsy version, I forget exactly 
how.  Bruce Giles (Alco Models) died of cancer and the company faded 
away.  They had RSD-15's(?), the AT&SF "Alligators", and EMD SD45's 
on their S scale production list when it all went south...

I still have an RS-2 in Lightning Stripes, but the drive is shot.  
It's on the list for re-powering some day, most likely with modified 
SHS guts under the brass superstructure.

P.S.  I still think the SP boyz have the most "purpose built" brass 
steam locomotives in S scale – 13 by my count!
