Michael,

I don't know exacting what the A M photo is depicting but... The original
PRR Truc Train service was loaded circus style. I believe this to be a photo
taken for or by the PRR very early in its T T history, possibly in the
Chicago area. http://www.lanestrains.com/F39_Loading_Yard.jpg Loading it
must have been pretty time consuming, as the drivers would have to back up
the entire length of that unloaded cut of cars with every trailer that was
loaded. I can only guess that trailers of the day were not designed to be
strong enough to be picked up like the current containers.

The next Keystone Modeler
http://www.prrths.com/Keystone%20Modeler/Keystone_Modeler.htm (That is the
latest it has ever been in 5 years) will be almost exclusively on a string
of exquisite HO F39 flats and trailers built by my good friend Gus Minardi.
I did the photography for it. While the focus is on the models, there is
usually a good amount of prototype info as well. Gus truly excelled at with
this project. I have not seen any finer models around representing the
introduction of the PRR Truc Train Service.

Thank You,
Bill Lane
