Gents...

A train buddy and I were discussing how the S scale hobby has evolved
from primarily building kits to mostly buying mass produced RTR
plastic. As we thought about it, it dawned on us that S scale rolling
stock kit makers are nearly extinct. Please correct me if I am wrong,
but it appears that BTS (Bill Wade) and Smokey Mountain (Jim King) are
the only two guys still producing S scale standard gauged rolling stock
kits these days. If so, I'd like to suggest we treat them really well
to keep them around a bit longer. When was the last time anyone
actually built a kit locomotive? Times sure do change......

Just a thought........EEdL. (the eminent one)
