Ed,
My experience (and personal preference) is that open top cars (gons and
hoppers) are the most popular sellers regardless of scale. Yes, boxcars are
up there too and there is probably more variety with boxes than hoppers
(ends, height, etc.) but WELL MADE open cars have a lot of interior detail
that makes them attractive. Also, how many times have you seen just 1 or 2
hoppers in a typical freight from the 80s on back?
