The comments about KINSMAN box car kits raises an interesting question.
I have four kits of the so-called seven-panel box car. From the plans and all,
it appears to me that I could revise the cars in construction somewhat so that
they looked more like a MATHER box car. Of course, I do not have any MATHER
plans and have no idea now how to find such plans, given the withdrawal of the
Kalmbach magazine index. Perusal of Ted Culotta's article in RMC on MATHER box
cars leads me to believe that I could create a model using the KINSMAN kit.
Has anyone tried this or have a view about it?
