Hi Tom; Oddly enough, it turns out there is a way in which the MR index info is occasionally still visible. I did a Google search on "Mather boxcar drawing" and found a cached search of the index on "Mather" which showed all the related articles.
Drawings are here: The Mather boxcar: draft horse of American boxcars Railroad Model Craftsman, February 1991 page 85 ( BOXCAR, DRAWING, "LOFTON, MARTIN", MATHER, FREIGHTCAR, PROTOTYPE, RMC ) B&O Mather stock car Mainline Modeler, September 1987 page 66 Article also published in The Best of Mainline Modeler's Freight Cars Volume 2 Book icon, page 43 ( B&O, DRAWING, MATHER, "SCHLERF, GARY", STOCKCAR, FREIGHTCAR, PROTOTYPE, MM ) There are several other articles with photos of the cars but not drawings. The Mather cars had a unique roof, but one that should be reasonable to fabricate. The truss frame members would be standard angle and Z bar rather than hat section. Otherwise, it should be a straight forward conversion. The boxcars did come in several heights, the best known (Ball Line) were unusually tall for the period. Pieter E.
