Attended local get together last week. After missing a few monthly meetings, I
was looking forward to meeting with fellow "S" Scalers. However, my enjoyment
of the comraderie typically experienced was dimished by one member infusing
every other topic with Political commentary. No wonder our Mother's admonished
us to avoid discussions of Religion and Politics in social settings. Realized
there is a Recession, and Political activism is every American's right, but I
chose Model Railroading to escape from such things, even for just alittle
while. If I feel this way, and have been a member for a couple of years,
imagine what (how) a newcommer would think (feel)?
