All,

Most of my story is pretty much here: http://www.lanestrains.com/About_Me.htm

In the grand scheme of things, I was in N Scale at about age 7 - which was
relatively rare in 1969. The American Flyer was Christmas only until about age
10. The AF was set up full time for a few years until I was 15 and I did about
10 years in HO. Going to the CJSS Get Together in 1987 was truly life changing.
In reality it took a few months to make the decision, but switching to S fits
with my life's motto "Dare To BE Different".

Can you imagine how bored you all would be if I stayed in HO? You all might
still be extolling the virtues and benefits of modern DC power. Bob would not
have to devise his string controller. The Mighty PRR would not be nearly as
Mighty. I shudder at such blasphemous thoughts!

Thank You,
Bill Lane
