If someone already commented on this my apologies to all... Would it not be
better to have a greater space (more track) between the two turnouts connected
by the crossover. It seems to me that there is too little space for it to be
operationally effective. This would yield a slightly greater separation of the
crossover from the two turnouts as well making for a less cramped situation.
I'm sure others have more experience in this area, but these are my thoughts. I
understand you may not wish to increase the depth of the plan, but like all
things we constantly need to compromise.
