This morning was a real sign fall will soon be here, it was so chilly, I had to
put on socks. As depressing as that is, I think it will soon spark the
modeling urge enough to get over the post conventions lethargy. There are
still a couple items that I wanted to move out over the summer left over and I
hate to put them away. One is an Overland CA6 caboose. It is painted
incorrectly and has a bent step that could be fixed. I didn't bother as I
figured the Minnesota Heartland wouldn't have the budget and would use it as
is. Railroad inspectors would never find their way to the middle of Minnesota
to check the railroad out anyway.
If you are looking for a project for the winter, 60.00 includes postage to your
door in US and we can haggle over any differences getting it to other parts of
the universe.
I also posted one additional photo in the NASG 2010. This shows Don Thompson
demonstrating the string theory in the Mill City Museum. Bob Weere, if you
have the photo you took at the Depot showing Bob demonstrating the theory on
Engine 316, would you mind adding it to the NASG 2010 album. This album is
open and if anyone would like to add a photo, I would appreciate it.
I also have several advertisements that I created for the convention. They
never got approved by Steve Doyle for some reason.... No I remember why now.
He thought Walt would have a heart attack if he saw them. In one case I
thought if we can't have train races we should have racy train advertisements.
I am glad we didn't use them, I would hate to lose my reputation as a good
upstanding person in the S community but I will make one into a billboard and
hide it on the layouts of the PPSSW guys.
Is someone really interested in the NMRA heritage cars? I think I have a
couple somewhere that I doubt I will use, too many other projects.
