Mr. Butch....."S"ince you are thinking of handlaying turnouts, you might
consider that old technique of slightly increasing the gauge on the curved
route so that large 8-coupled steamers can negotiate the curve a bit easier.
Every little trick helps a bit and with enough tricks you can run anything
anywhere. (slight exaggeration to make a point) Make sure the frog/guardrail
area is correctly gauged, however. Have fun...Ed L.
