A frined asked me to list this damaged 280 as parts. This engine took a 4 foot
drop from his work bench, he asked me to try to repair this engine for him but
after I looked at the damage I figured by the time he buys the parts (if
available) and pays me for my labor he would be better off looking for a used
one as a replacement. At that point since he does not own a computer he asked
me to try to sell it as parts. What is usable is the Boiler (has slight paint
damage) tender (has minor damage that can be repaired and the chassis and
drivers (one driver popped off during inpact so it will need to be
requartered/replaced. Most of the plastic parts on the underside of the loco
did not survive the fall. I have pictures that I can supply showing these areas
of concern available upon request. Since I don't know what it's worth I figured
I would ask for offers, therefore, I will sell to the highest bidder who
respond to [email protected] by 9PM on Monday 9/13/10 evening. These items are
being sold as is so price your bids accordingly.
