All,

I am sure this will shock and dismay some of you. I hope this does not
damage my otherwise stellar SPF reputation. But I have recently worked on a
F & C urethane 40' New York Central gondola! I bought it almost completed
about 18 years ago from a master craftsman friend that sold out all his
expertly assembled and superdetailed S collection and went to N SCALE. It is
complete with brake rigging and everything else you would want on such a
car. I recently finished the last few things that it needed and added a few
of my own. It is currently primed and ready for paint. It is also possibly
the lightest car in S Scale.

I found someone that is going to make a nice scrap steel load for me with a
sheet of lead under it. The load will most likely permanently reside in the
car. How much should the load weigh?

Thank You,
Bill Lane
