Dear Friends,
I received a phone call from Stan's wife Linda this evening. (10-7-10)
She informed me that Stan is now under Hospice. He had a MRI the other day
and his brain cancer is rapidly spreading and it seems there is nothing more
they can do. Stan wants to be at home, so they have placed a hospital bed in
his home for him to be in.
I don't know what else to say at this point of time, but I'll try to keep
everyone up to date on this unfortunate situation.
Stan and Linda were at our LVSG meet a month ago when we rode the Middletown
and Hummelstown Railroad excursion for our annual picnic.
It was nice to have them with us and he seemed fine and was talking about
some new model railroad projects he had planned on doing.
Stan was preparing to do the modeling when this illness struck him several
days ago. (He couldn't walk and was very tired.)
Visitation is very limited, so please correspond through me at this time.
