Gentlemen...

By now everyone already knows about the NMRA annual convention in 2011 being
a joint convention with the National Association of S Gaugers (NASG). If
not, please click here for some overview information:

http://www.x2011west.org/nasg.html

By reading the fine print, you will learn that all of the S-oriented events,
activities and banquet will first be available to registrants who have
checked the NASG box on their registration form. You do not need to be an
NASG member to check this box. Only after a specified cutoff date, will
other non-S persons be allowed to register for S events. Signing up for
events and activities and S convention cars will be accomplished via the
online shopping cart and use of your credit card. None of this is really
new, but bears repeating because..

The shopping cart is very close to "going live". It is being tested and
tweaked as we speak. My guess is that you will be able to see it and use it
within a few weeks - possibly sooner. Thus, you will want to be registered
and keep your eyes open in order to sign up for the activities you really
want to attend. Things like an all-day Amtrak/BART/bus tour of two large S
scale layouts and one exquisite Sn3 layout. Things like a banquet meal
inside the roundhouse of the California State Railroad Museum. Things like
$25 tables at the all-day S/Sn3 swap meet. And the list goes on..

The early bird gets the worm and once the tickets are sold out, they are
sold out. So if you are inclined to attend, I'd suggest registering now and
waiting with baited breath for the online shopping cart to start breathing
and living. Ask me your S-related questions. Ask the NMRA your non-S
questions. You have questions. We have answers.

"S"ee you in Sacto...Ed Loizeaux
