One of the best model railroad hobby shops in the West is only 20 minutes down
the road. Dedicated to realistic trains only. No Lionel, etc. Does handle
LGB-type trains because they sell so well. THE TRAIN SHOP in Santa Clara, CA.

He used to carry S scale, but discontinued it because all us local guys would
buy directly from our train buddies -- Ron, John, and Don. Once the owner
literally asked me to leave his shop because 'S'cenery Unlimited refused to
sell him some brass items (doodlebug?) at a dealer discount. He took his
frustration out on me since I was the only S guy who was in the shop at the
time. His next angry moment happened when Claud Wade, of SSLS fame, responded
to his request for S products by offering him a 3% dealer discount, but
charging him 5% for shipping.

So now there is no more S scale in his shop except for Kadee S couplers and
various detail parts. History is sure interesting at times.
