My wife says one serious earthquake every 20 years is a lot better than
fighting snow, cold, ice, slush, heat, humidity and unfriendly insects several
times every year. Since I love her, I stay in the San Francisco area instead
of in Grand Central Terminal or Harmon, NY where the railroading is a lot more
interesting. Of course, she was born here and is a biased native Californian.
But I am willing to overlook that minor defect. I have my own Hudson River out
in the layhout room. Cheers...Ed L.
