Gents..Just received this email below from a local fellow familiar with the
happenings at THE TRAIN SHOP. Name removed to protect the author. Food for
thought. Words in parentheses are mine. How many more stories like this

It wasn't Claude or any other Mfg. so much as it was all the "Club
Discounts" When guys told Vern (Owner of THE TRAIN SHOP) that the club could
get it cheaper, or where is my "Special" Discount he decided to get rid of
S. The real nail on the head was when a Mfg called him and told him to stop
selling at a discount, but it was okay for clubs to buy at the same price as
dealers. Water under the bridge but Dennis (son of Owner) has decided that
there will be no S Scale in his store! I think the same thing happened with
Jim King and that guy in Chicago! S stands for shyster, yeah, that's right,
S scalers are their own worst enemy.
