I always research and try to match the prototype if I can. If I cannot, then
wing it is! :-)
According to the SP modeler's bible, SP Freight Cars, Vol. 4, there were 50 of
these cars delivered in express green and they had ASF trucks. When SP pulled
the AFC trucks from its cabooses, 20 of these cars received these trucks. Some
of these cars later received the GSC trucks. I am not sure if SP completely
replaced AFC trucks at the time they began installing the GSC trucks.
I have only found two pictures #5700 which has ASF trucks and #5740 which has
GSC trucks. So I am winging it.
