John,

The SP box express cars were painted by PRS, and you are correct that 
only 3 different road numbers were done.  The kits from PRS came with 
ASF Ride Control trucks because all 50 of the SP box express cars were 
originally built that way.  Therefore, why not use the trucks that came 
with the kits, as that  way you will have modeled all the variations of 
trucks which were under the prototype.  The Allied Full Cushion truck 
did not  last too long  under that  car since a certain eastern 
railroad (I won't divulge the railroad and its "lightning strips") 
banned the cars with Allied Full Cushion trucks.
