Hi, All:
I suppose I'm more a lurker because I leave the PR aspect to my hack-man, Ken
Zieska, who has a better flair for words than I. Anyway, in the time since the
NASG layout tours here in July, over the past month and a half I've been
working on the farmland-half of my middle peninsula. Dave Jasper actually
painted the backdrop about a year ago based on my memories of Illinois in the
1950s - red barns, fields of corn shocks, etc. I started on the farmland in
advance of the NMRA's Thousand Lakes Region, Twin Cities Division, layout tour
a couple of weeks ago so the visitors - mainly HO guys - could see what could
be accomplished in S-Scale. Many of them were amazed so much was available in
our scale. The cityscape, with its lighted buildings and more than 20 Miller
Engineering signs - seemed to attract attention.
I've posted progress in the Photo Albums under "Doyle."
Model-on!
Steve
