Over the past week I posted a couple of photos to the group without making time
to post any description.
The first was in response to an earlier thread on converting AF cabooses to
scale. I posted a shot of a former LNE Northeastern caboose at Steamtown in
Scranton, PA taken on a visit the Friday after Thanksgiving.
The second pair are showing my AM Trainmasters. The one on the left has had the
original white LEDs replaced with warm white LEDs. The model includes boards
with the resistors, so this was a pretty easy replacement. The bad news is they
also have the reversing light logic, so once these are converted to DCC those
boards will have to go. I purchased a set of 10 LEDs and resistors on Ebay, but
searching for "3mm warm white LED" will find other sources as low as .18 each.
I will be standardizing all my locomotive lighting on these.
