Bill, before you shut the door on this topic, I will offer my sheepish response.

When I set up the subscription options on PayPal for the 1:64 Modeling Guide, I
made the renewals automatic. I have made mention of this on my Website as well
as in past posts on this and other groups. This was strictly a cost
containment move on my part, since I wouldn't have to incur the expense of
printing and mailing a renewal notice (and probably more than one). The
subscriber always has the option to cancel. The magazine is operating on a
vert tight margin with minimal advertising revenue and, in fact, loses money on
the standard mail rate of $27.95/yr, which is most of the subscriptions. In
addition, I "eat" all PayPal fees.

If there is widespread opposition to the on-line subscription setup, please let
me know (off list--or on the 1:64 Modeling Guide Pop Valve Yahoo Group) and
I'll revisit the policy. Thank you.
