Sorry all, meant this as a personal reply. Ah, the joys of technology.

      Jim,

I will be ordering this through Andy. He will be in touch soon I would think.

I have a question on another topic. I am wondering what is involved in having
you produce a specific part in bulk. What would the process be, and how many
would you need to produce at a set cost. The part I am interested in is the
Murphy 7/8 ends found on many 1920's boxcars. I would be looking to purchase a
fair number of these and then try to sell them much like the replacement reefer
roofs you made before for another of our small band of brothers.

I have plans for the part in question.

Pleas let me know what is involved.

This week, I finally reached the minimum order quantity required to move

forward with the 44-tonner design. Both of the most popular versions, Phase

Ia (no front grill) and IVb (with front grill) will be produced using the

same 3D CAD, rapid prototyping and urethane casting process as all previous

kits. Athearn's tried and true Ready To Roll mechanism will used for the

gearboxes and, possibly, the motor if I can fit it in. Design will start

late this month with a target release date of March 2011.

Since this is now a "go" project, anyone else wanting to place an order by

email should do so ASAP. Payment-in-full is required by 1/7/2011 or your

order will be cancelled. The cutoff date is required so I can order just

enough photo etched parts and misc. items but not extras.

Pricing: $335 postpaid for either version with Code 110 wheelsets, DC only

or $355 postpaid with AF-compatible wheelsets, DC only. Prices applicable

in the Lower 48 only. If using PayPal, add 4% to the order amount and send

to my email address thru PP, otherwise, checks or MO can be mailed to the

address below.

This is the ONLY notice I will post so don't miss out. Contact me off list

if you have questions.
