I might add, for those looking for a perfect setting for a 44-tonner, try to 
find an article published by the S Gaugian in May, 1976, under the title 
"Brickyard Branchline". 

The star of the show on this little rural short line, called the Lowell & 
Southern, was a single 44-tonner. It, and the L&S, could be the answer for 
those contemplating a serious downsizing of their lifestyle
