Where do you get those S Scale pantographs? I and others would like to know.
Do you sell them?

  Joe,
This is common practice in New Zealand, where the prototype railroads are 42"
gauge. Lots of kits and supplies are available from North Yard and On Line
Models. On Line has a page with North Yard's full catalog.

It's Joe Raymaker("JR", usually) out in soggy Bremerton, WA.

I joined you all a couple of weeks ago, during a RR dilemma, a decision
about which size On30 I wanted to model. After a few conversations
I put you all on "remote" mail, and haven't checked back til now.

Which size? Whaddya mean which size? On30 is O scale, 1:48, right?

Structures are 1:48 but there are many different sizes of engine and rolling
stock.
"Narrow" gauge is not that restrictive. A look at Boulder Valley Models
and at the Peterboro Railroad Store will show you a range from Bachmann
(Ohio River and Western) to almost toy-sized cars. Many On30 folks use
Bachmann Branchlines and Hornby 00 cars, and Bachmann HO Plymouth/Davenport
switchers. So On30 means a lot of different size options.

I LIKE the simplicity of opening a box and plopping it on the rails, which
leads me to
Bachmann sized cars and engines. But the engines look HUGE on my shelf layout,
and the most radius can get is 17 inches, which is problematic for anything
  that big.

So, opening thee lid on Pandora's box, does anybody out there do Sn42,
putting HO trucks on everything, and mounting S scale shells on HO engines?

thanx for any ideas, except: "you're CRAZY!" <g>

  JR
