I don't think there was a sugar refinery at Brooke ave. so I don't know how the molasses got there or left the site. I found a photo of the tank online and it said it was 500,000 gallons and built in 1918 for the South Gate Molasses company. I was thinking about adding a similiar tank to a layout i'm designing but don't know if the molasses was shipped out or in or either by railcars? ....Regards, Dave Branum [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
