Geez I've only typed it about ten thousand times in the last three months...it should be embedded in my fingers. BTW a reminder to list members that next month Dick will soon be a featured guest on The Model Railway Show. Our podcast launched November 1st. Show number 4 has just been loaded into the website themodelrailwayshow.co. The first 3 shows are archived in case you've missed any. Each show is only about 20 minutes long. My interview with Dick has already been recorded and will appear on show number 6 which will go online January 15th. I'll give you all another holler on the release date. I built it three years ago, painted it two years ago, and finally decalled it last September. A photo of it appears as No. 27 in group photo folder "Dick Karnes' Layout." Click the following link to see it: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Scale/photos/album/656837120/pic/2095159037/view?picmode=large&mode=tn&order=ordinal&start=21&dir=asc The chassis is an Omnicon product intended to fit the AF Alco PA shell, but lengthened to fit the DL-109. Couplers are installed in BTS brass coupler pockets designed for EMD diesels. No changes were made to the American Hirail superstructure. Windshield wipers were included with the Omnicon chassis. The American Hirail underbody tanks were altered to allow the Omnicon gearbox to fit. Decals were a project of the Connecticut S Gaugers, spearheaded by Steve Kutash.
