I've posted photos of the progress D. Fontana has made converting a REX
flat car to a NYC prototype. The original flat is in two of the photos. The
other two are the new version he is building. The original REX model was done
with a totally incorrect underframe. They used the gondola underframe instead
of making a flat car underframe. Dave cut out all of the underframe and built
up a new one using styrene. Notice that he added material for the end beam and
has moved the brake staff closer to the side per the NYC car. The photos are in
an album named Rustys Ramblings
